Mosquito control is a lot more than simply swatting and killing them as they land on you. They could invade your premises and become a real issue. That is why we call it “mosquito control” because we try and control them rather than kill them.
Mosquitos rise from still or stagnant water. If water is running quickly then you shouldn’t be getting mosquitos, unless they are traveling.
Common places for mosquitos to come from:
- Retention ponds
- Slow moving rivers
- Creeks
- Wetlands
- Anywhere where standing water could be a possibility (forests)
- Garden ponds
- Blocked gutters
- Bird baths
Mosquito Control Tips
First thing you should do is check your yard for places where mosquitos might breed. Either change the water or empty the water while you’re not using it. The longer the water sits, the better the chance a mosquito will have to lay eggs.
Survey your entire yard and home for any areas where you think mosquitos could breed.
